Laurie Elliott, Owner
Laurie has been dabbling in the retail business since her college days. She and her family moved to Tampa in 1998, and Laurie decided to open her first home furnishings retail store, Magnolia, in 2000. Located in South Tampa, Magnolia opened during that summer and is still thriving today. Laurie’s passion for design and love of the details that existed in merchandise were quickly recognized in the Tampa community. After six years, she sold the successful Magnolia and decided to take some time off to be a full time mom to three beautiful little girls. She, along with business partner Heidi Jinks, opened MarketPlace Interiors Tampa in 2009. The Tampa store is located in a 5000 square foot rehabbed bread factory in Tampa’s design district. Still open after 10 years, MarketPlace Interiors Tampa is a staple in the thriving design community.
Laurie moved to Nashville in 2017 and opened MarketPlace Interiors Nashville. She has been serving the Nashville community since then and looks forward to continued success here!
